Formation of a regulatory framework for economic cooperation within the CIS: problems and prospects

The article analyzes the constituent documents of the CIS, as well as important political and economic trends after the collapse of the USSR. The authors consider the issues of economic cooperation within the framework of the Commonwealth and its significance in the first years of the existence of the CIS. At the same time, the article examines the basic principles of economic cooperation, the principles of states defined in the founding documents of the CIS. According to the authors, the founding documents of the CIS, formed at the initial stage, contributed to the further development of economic relations within the CIS and the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union.
