Author Guide

Guidelines. Guidelines for working with material in terms of technical design and quality are presented in the form of systematic work on the OGS platform. The author, reviewer, and journal editorial board (executive secretary) interact through their personal accounts, where guidelines for each party's work are presented.

Work in your personal account. If the material does not meet the journal's requirements, it will be returned to the author. The reasons for returning the material are specified and sent to the author, who can view this feedback in their personal account. Authors are strongly advised to monitor the status of their article in their personal account (“under review,” “rejected,” “under review,” “sent for revision”). If the material is returned due to technical errors in formatting, the author has the right to correct the comments and resubmit their material.

Requirements for formatting articles, references, and transliteration, as well as examples, are provided after the requirements for authors on the journal's website. Authors must format their material in accordance with these requirements. The editorial board has the right to reject an article if it is technically incorrectly formatted, including errors in the formatting of references, margins, bibliography, and transliteration.

Quality of material. Once the technical requirements have been successfully met, the article is checked for quality, in particular, using the antiplagiat.ru system. The material is then sent for review.

The length of the article, including the bibliography, should not exceed 23 pages of text typed on a computer (Microsoft Word editor), with a minimum length of 7-8 pages.

The margins of the manuscript should be: top and bottom — 25 mm, left and right — 20 mm; font — Times New Roman, size — 11 pt; line spacing — single; alignment — justified; paragraph indentation — 0.8 cm.

Formatting of references in the text of the article: The first reference to literature in the text should be numbered [1], the second [2], then [3], and so on. When referring to a result from a book, indicate its number from the list of references and (after a semicolon) the page number on which this result is published, for example [1; 325].

The article should consist of the following sections:

Title: includes a separate line on the left with the UDC index, information about the authors (initials and surname, name of the institution or organization, city, country, e-mail of all authors, title of the article).

Abstract: Mandatory components of the abstract: informativeness (abstract length – 300-350 words); originality (novelty of the article) (note: direct repetition of any fragments of the work should be avoided: the title of the article should not be duplicated in the text of the abstract); substantive content (main content of the article and research results) (note: the text of the abstract should not use general phrases, nor include irrelevant details and well-known statements); structure; conclusions. The abstract is provided in English, Kazakh, and Russian.

Keywords: at least 10 basic terms or short phrases used in the article. Keywords are provided in English, Kazakh, and Russian. The abstract and keywords in the language of the article precede the main text of the article, while abstracts and keywords in other languages are placed after the bibliography.

Internal structure of a scientific article (each structural part of the article must be highlighted):

Introduction - relevance of the research topic; research objectives, tasks;  statement of the problem).

Materials and methods of research - description of materials and sources (archives, documents) used by the authors in this article. Detailed description of specific methods,  justification for the choice of a particular method.

Results - presentation of the results of research on the stated topic or problem; novelty of the results achieved; the results should correspond to the purpose and objectives of the article;  description of the idea, concept that has been applied (specifics); tables, figures (if available).

Discussion - comparison of the research results with similar ones in other works; identification and analysis of differences or similarities; evaluation of results; justification of the reliability of the results obtained.

Conclusions – a summary of the results of the research work carried out on the chosen topic, possible recommendations and forecasts for further study of the research topic.

Acknowledgements – if necessary, information about the source of funding for the research should be provided – grants, state budget programs, etc.

Information about authors is provided in three languages and includes the following details: full name; academic degree, position, name of organization, city, country, and author's ORCID.  

The Editorial Board has the right to reject material for publication if the list of references and transliteration are not formatted according to the requirements.
