Abstract

The article is dedicated to a comprehensive study of the socio-political life in the Kazakh steppes at the beginning of the 19th century. The work thoroughly analyzes the social, political, economic, and cultural consequences following the dismantling of traditional Khanate authority by the Russian Empire. It provides a detailed differentiation of the causes and consequences of the removal of the Khanate authority of the Bukey Horde under Khan Jangir and his descendants, as well as the fate of the first Kazakh General-Adjutant Gubaydolla. His letters to the Emperor of the Russian Empire reveal the nature of the policy regarding internal
affairs in Kazakhstan. This research offers a deeper understanding of the political history of Kazakhstan in the 18th and 19th centuries and provides an objective assessment of the impact of Russian colonial policy on Kazakh society.
