Abstract

It describes the life and work of prominent akyn, zhyrau of the second half of the XIX century Murat Monkeuly. It is emphasized that in his youth he participated in numerous aitys with the poets of his time, and was a good school of poetic craftsmanship. It is stated that the poet has created a lot of songs, tolgau and initiations, which extolled the love of his native land. It is noted that in their songs-tolgau Murat sings about rich and brave horseman, girl-bride and hunting with a hawk, speaks about the brevity of life, the variability mortal world. Special attention is paid dastan «Ush Kiyan» — one of the most significant works of akyn, in which he describes the plight of the people, their concerns, hopes and dreams. The characteristic tolgau «Saryarka» in which the poet urges Kazakhs overcome generic exclusion, as well as the poems «KarasaiKazi» and «Kaztugan» devoted to the Kazakh batyrs. It is concluded that Murat in his work has long skillfully used was common verse forms, sought to realism and concreteness in psychological characteristics, contributed to the development of literary language.
