Medical women of the Pavlodar region during the Great Patriotic War: heroism and front daily life

The Great Patriotic War became the most tragic page in the history of the twentieth century. One of the most terrible in the consequences and the most heroic in the exploits and sacrifices of Soviet people is a page in history. Women made an invaluable contribution to achieving Victory in the history of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. Women at the front were involved almost everywhere, they were doctors, chauffeurs, aviators, snipers, signalmen, scouts, reporters, artillerymen, tankmen, mechanics, served in the infantry, actively participated in the partisan movement. The article is devoted to the study of the front-line daily routine of female doctors from the Pavlodar region during the Great Patriotic War. The author, analyzing individual women's stories, tried to characterize the role and significance of the heroic deeds of female doctors at the front. The author comes to the conclusion that despite all the difficulties of front-line life, women bore tremendous selfsacrifice, possessed unparalleled courage and endless fortitude
