Specific features of formation of civic self-consciousness of young generation

Abstract

The article reveals the leading role of the family, the educational and cultural qualification of the parent reference group as the factors of influence on the formation of civic consciousness at a young age. The highest level of civic activity is observed among those respondents whose families are also characterized by active civic positions and actively participate in the public and political life of the society. It can be summarized that various state cultural and social projects during which young people not only become attached to cultural and patriotic sources but also actively get the opportunity to participate in various actions and events, have a huge impact on the formation of patriotic feelings and civic moods. Direct activity in a form of participation in various public activities together with the parents, teachers, peers, public and state figures is also considered by respondents as a powerful psychological factor that influences the formation of an active civic stand of young people.
