Interethnic relations and the model of ethnic policy of Kazakhstan: problems and prospects

Abstract

Issues of ethnic policy and interethnic relations are of particular importance for the Republic of Kazakhstan. In this regard, the article undertakes an analysis of interethnic relations and a model of ethnic policy, reveals the main aspects of the model of interethnic harmony in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Attention is focused on the fact that interethnic harmony is the leading priority of state policy and the fundamental value of Kazakhstani society. The article provides a comparative analysis of studies and data on demographic changes, ethnic history and culture of ethnic groups, their location in the country. Also, in the article, the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan is considered as a unique institution created to ensure the policy of interethnic and intercultural interaction.
