Abstract

The most important area of social life is healthcare. Strengthening and protecting the health of the population is one of the key interests of the state policy of every civilized country. The study of the history of health care helps to evaluate the past experience of health care, and the ability to orient the main directions in the organization and management for its subsequent qualitative development. In this regard, the article studied the stages of development of healthcare in Kazakhstan during the period of independence. Considerable attention is paid to the review of the main legislative acts and state programs for the development of healthcare adopted during the period of independence. The study made it possible to identify numerous and relatively frequent changes and additions made to the relevant regulatory legal acts and state programs in the field of healthcare.
