Abstract

The article is devoted to the philosophical comprehension of the phenomenon of national identity as a keydimension of the spiritual and cultural existence in modern society. National identity is viewed as a process ofa nation’s self-determination, in which historical memory, language, and culture form an integral space forthe development of collective consciousness. In the context of globalization and cultural hybridization, the is-sue of preserving national integrity acquires particular significance. The scientific novelty of the study lies inthe philosophical interpretation of the ideas of the Kazakh thinker Amangeldy Aitaly within the framework ofthe contemporary concept of national identity. The methodological foundation of the research is based on his-torical-philosophical, axiological, and hermeneutic approaches. As a result of the analysis, the key philosoph-ical categories determining the spiritual resilience and cultural autonomy of the nation are identified. It isconcluded that national identity is not a static condition but a dynamic process of spiritual self-determinationaimed at preserving historical memory and strengthening cultural sovereignty in a globalizing world. The sig-nificance of the study lies in its contribution to the development of the national philosophy of identity and inthe philosophical understanding of the spiritual foundations of Kazakhstani culture.
