Attributes of the Steppe civilization in the creative heritage of Shokan Ualikhanov

In the article the features of the steppe civilization in the creative heritage of Sh. Ualikhanov were analyzed. The authors drew attention to the fact that, according to Sh. Ualikhanov, there has never been a purely nomadic society. In addition, in the Kazakh and Kyrgyz society, in addition to animal husbandry, there were several cultural and economic types: agriculture, city, art. The authors of the article provide data on changes in the historiography of that period, based on the scientific statements of Sh. Ualikhanov that “the Kazakhs and Kyrgyz were semi-nomadic peoples”, the relevance of which remains today. In the final part of the article, it is stated that in the nomadic society of the steppe civilization, there was a state, a city, a settlement,
writing and high cultural spirituality. It was also considered that, compared to sedentary peoples, nomadic peoples lived in harmonious conditions with the natural environment
