Abstract

The article is devoted to the formation and development of early Sarmatian culture on the territory of Western Kazakhstan. Currently, the source base of the Early Sarmatian culture has grown significantly, which allows us to consider it at a new level. The article focuses on the consideration of problems associated with the analysis of issues of continuity in the process of culture formation and transition from period to period. According to new data, the period of formation of the early Sarmatian culture dates back to the VI–IV centuries. BC. In recent years, the volume of work on the problem of Sarmatian culture has increased and become systematic. Within the framework of this article, it is proposed to consider the main points of view of researchers on the formation and development of early Sarmatian culture.
