On the problem of formation and development of ethno-ecological studies

Abstract

The relevance of the study is obvious, however, in the literature the problem of formation and development of ethno-ecological studies are limited to theoretical and practical knowledge and methodological approaches. The author fills this gap and presents a concise overview of the history of the emergence and maintenance of those areas of knowledge, which formed the basis of the ethno-ecology: the study of economic-cultural types, anthropogenesis and etnocacerista, adaptive functions and composition of culture, population longevity as an indicator of successful adaptation. The notion of ethno-ecological approach in the study of the alleged problem as well as its basic principles are described in the article. The author formulates views, presents the results of own  researches on possible objectives and basic concepts of ethnoecology, its place in the system of sciences, the stages, the features of the formation and development of ethno-ecological studies.
