Abstract

The article is considered with the problems of studying, research and methodological approaches of the national liberation  movement of the Kazakh people led by Kenesary Kasymov during1837–1847, that is the historical significance of the national liberation movement of the Kazakh people during the colonial rule of the Russian Empire. The paper describes the methodological approaches in research and understanding of the national liberation movement of 1837–1847 years; moreover, provides a brief overview of the historiographical formation of ambiguous points of view, opinions and concepts of this historic event. The article is consdered with the problems of studying, research and methodological approaches of the national liberation movement of the Kazakh peopleled by Kenesary Kasymov during1837–1847, that is the historical significance of the national liberation movement of the Kazakh people during the colonial rule of the Russian Empire. The paper describes the methodological approaches in research and understanding of the national liberation movement of 1837–1847 years; moreover, provides a brief overview of the historiographical formation of ambiguous points of view, opinions and concepts of this historic event. The material of the article presents both the problem of inadequate and objective investigation of the national liberation movement led by Kenesary Kasymov, and studies the scientific literature about movement's history in a period between 1837–1847; moreover an analysis of methodological approaches in the study of motion and the influence of the era and the political system in their evolution. Delivered problem showed that the study of historiography and methodology of movement can serve as a new impetus to the study the topic of the national liberation movement of the Kazakh people in Russian Empireaccession period. The article makes it possible to expand the knowledge of the history of Kazakhstan of the 19th century, to learn about the controversial motion estimation led by Kenesary Kasymov and understand the causes for the contradictory and insufficiency explored in the assessment of this
movement.
