Abstract

The importance of the problem in question due to the fact that decisive in the life of every human being are health problems. There are no studies on the health of the population of Central Kazakhstan in foreign and domestic historiography. The authors highlighted the general health trends in cities of the region: the work of medical institutions and medical stuff, and the successes and problems quality of service issues in life of citizens. The study is based on materials of the Karaganda region archives, periodic press and interviews. The authors concluded that the progressive development of positive trends in health care during the Soviet period. At the same time, advances in public health was very slow and in the period was laid the foundations of the negative phenomena, which are most clearly manifested in the subsequent period.
