Abstract

The article analyzes the problem of formation of a regional security complex in the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The author proves the existence of the security complex in the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. It based on the regional security complex theory of B. Buzan and O. Wever. The article examines the position and policies of member countries, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization observer countries. The author analyzes the role and importance of the regional security complex theory, gives an overview of the activities and the outcomes of the summits of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in recent years.
