Abstract

The formation and development of military and political cooperation of the Turkic countries of Central Asian region is considered in the present article. It is analysed not only the contractual legal base of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan integration in the area of cooperative security protection, but also main risk factors of threats to these states. The military and political cooperation of the Turkic countries of Central Asia in a multilateral structure with Russia, China, Turkey and Western countries direct participation is considered here as well. The international terrorism, religious extremism, territorial border disputes being as the current challenges and threats to the Central Asian states are difficult for the Turkic countries to struggle alone. Russia, which gives high priority to the CIS area defence and its south border — lines observes it as Central Asian states safety. The regional security structure establishment in this region is of particular importance for collective security formation on post-Soviet territory in general. The fundamental principles of this work can be used by historians, foreign affairs experts and political scientists.
