Abstract

In this article, a rather weak but essential link in the development of ancient history in terms of the formation of the empire as a world, a phenomenon, the essence of history in principle, has been subjected to comprehension. The study was based on the material of Roman practice the relationship between the conquered peoples and the Roman first republic, and then the Roman Empire. The forms of mutual adaptation are diverse: this is the process of romanization that has been studied quite well in history; it is the development of personal and social contacts throughout the history of the interaction of the Romans, IberoGauls, Gallo-Germans and the great migration of peoples. Much attention is paid to the late stages of the existence of the Western Roman Empire, where parallels were drawn over the colonial interrelationships in the field system and the federal relations of the Romans and the barbarians. The characteristic of the adaptive interrelations is given in qualitative assessments, quantitative studies have not been carried out, which implies the development of this topic in the far-reaching future.
