Abstract

In this article the authors analyze the results of Kazakhstan's chairmanship of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The chairmanship of our state in the OIC, which is the second largest intergovernmental organization after the United Nations, is an outstanding achievement of Kazakhstan's foreign policy. The chairmanship gave Kazakhstan the opportunity to promote its strategic interests in the Islamic world and the development of economic and cultural dialogue. The election of Kazakhstan as chairman of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) by the Islamic community at the 38th meetings of the OIC Ministerial Council testifies to the recognition of the international authority of our country. Kazakhstan became the head of  the OIC CFM at a time when violent events were taking place in the region, and diplomatic flexibility was required from Kazakhstan. But despite this we can say that our country has successfully implemented the outlined priorities.
