In the context of the formation of a new world order, a comprehensive review of the specific problems of regional security is particularly important. Methodological approaches help to take into account new definitions and areas of scientific knowledge regarding the system of international relations, structuring the security system and identifying its multilateral elements. The relevance of the topic appears in the consideration and correlation of the main provisions of the theory of the regional security complex. The authors consider the problem of the balance of regional security approaches in a historical perspective and taking into account the differences in paradigms within the framework of the theory of the regional security complex. The authors reached reasonable conclusions that the theory of the regional security complex is effective in studying the problems of regional security.
