Central Asia and China: economic cooperation in the context of globalization

The Central Asian region is of great interest to the China due to its geopolitical position, significant reserves of natural resources, and this region is a promising market for Chinese goods. At the present stage, the development of trade and economic relations between the countries of Central Asia and China has a positive dynamics and the China is one of the main partners of this region in a wide range of areas of interaction. The article examines the main directions of China's interaction with the countries of Central Asia in the field of in ternational trade and foreign direct investment. In this work, the authors provide data, analyzed the dynamics
and features of trade and investment cooperation between China and the countries of Central Asia. The authors give one's attention to prospects of the Chinese initiative of the Silk Road Economic Belt from the point of view of the national interests of the states of the Central Asian region.
