Abstract

In this article, the author has tried to investigate the nature of the value orientations of young people in the context of their inclusion in the complex world of interfaith and interethnic communications. The author's interest is predetermined by the relevance of this problem space. The modern world, characterized by dynamism, a high degree of variability, offers many options for life strategies. In the coordinates of such a choice, a young man tries to appropriate options for life self-determination that are close to him in spirit, in interest. Helping him in this choice, directing him into positive worldview searches, presenting a rich picture of the world in its spiritual manifestations is one of the main tasks of the education system. It is the education system at all its stages, as an institution that allows one to navigate correctly in the world of spiritual truths and temptations, that bears the main responsibility for the consciousness of young Kazakhstan citizens. In the system of upbringing the skills of tolerance to the diversity of the world, a special place belongs to religious discourse. The article analyzes the main concepts that assess religious studies as an independent scientific direction and a promising research strategy. The author proposes to update the conceptual approach to religious studies as a recently updated system of scientific knowledge about religion, religious tolerance, and tolerance. In this sense, religious studies can become a powerful factor in educational discourse and enlightenment work.
