History of the establishment and development of health care in South Kazakhstan in the 30-80s of the 20th century

Abstract

With the establishment of Soviet power, one of the main political priorities was the organization of the Soviet health care system. In the program documents, it was openly stated that in the field of public education, the implementation of wide-ranging health and sanitary measures aimed at preventing the development of diseases is a priority. Healthcare problems were urgent and acute because the epidemic was raging in the country. The article analyzes the history of the development of medical services in the territory of South Kazakhstan, the formation of the health care system in the Soviet period, its prerequisites, establishment, and development features. The authors highlight the trends of health care development: the work of medical institutions and medical personnel, as well as successes and problems of the quality in service to the population, the level of provision of medicines to the population of South Kazakhstan in the considered period.
